Bishop, priests win division in race

LINCOLN (SNR) - Bishop James Conley and priests of the Diocese of Lincoln competed in the Sept. 30 “Market to Market” relay from Aksarben Village in Omaha to the Haymarket in Lincoln.

The bishop has participated in the relay race with diocesan priests since 2013 and this year, the team completed the 76-mile course in 9 hours and 48 minutes and won the “religious organization” division.Their average mile pace was 7:42.

Bill Stull of St. Joseph Parish in Lincoln was driver for the priests. He is pictured below after the race with (from left) Father Patrick Barvick, Father Craig Clinch, Father Matthew Rolling, Bishop Conley, Father Steven Mills, Father Nicholas Kipper and Father Michael Zimmer.
