The Lincoln Equipping Team is a prayer and healing ministry whose mission is to empower Catholics to pray for one another and discover the healing power of Christ in their lives. This group was inspired by the work of the John Paul II Healing Center and the Day of Equipping workshop that occurred in Lincoln in August of 2017. Led by Fr. Craig Doty, a canon lawyer in the Lincoln Diocese, this team seeks to be open to the workings of the Holy Spirit, to grow and help others grow in intentional discipleship, and to sponsor events that further the mission of prayer and healing in the Lincoln Diocese. For more information please contact the Office of Evangelization at 402-473-0615.
Fr. Craig Doty to present weekend retreat Nov. 2-4, 2018
Father Craig Doty prays that this retreat at Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House near Waverly will help more people experience the healing that their hearts desire, and that only Jesus can give.
The retreat will be based on Father Doty's experience at the John Paul II Healing Center, founded by Dr. Bob Schuchts, author of “Be Healed: A Guide to Encountering the Powerful Love of Jesus in Your Life” – a book Father Doty highly recommends.
Father Doty said the retreat is for anyone who “wants Jesus to bring healing to the brokenness and wounds in their lives. All of us need healing from past wounds to our hearts,” he explained. “Just recognizing one’s brokenness is obviously the first step.”
Men or women of all ages are invited to the retreat. Registration and info at goodcounselretreat.com.
Lincoln Equipping prayer teams will also be available for prayer at many of the retreats at Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House.
