WAVERLY (SNR) - All are invited to see and experience God’s healing love at Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House Nov. 1-3, on a weekend retreat with Father Craig Doty entitled, “Jesus, Please Heal Me!”

This is the third retreat Father Doty has offered based on the work of the John Paul II Healing Center and its founders, Dr. Bob and Bart Schuchts.  Through teaching, prayer, personal reflection, adoration and the Sacraments, Father Doty invites men and women of all ages to encounter the healing love of the Father.

Recommended are the books by Dr. Bob Schuchts, “Be Healed” and “Be Transformed,” and also his most recent book, “Real Suffering: Finding Hope and Healing in the Trials of Life.” Topics to be addressed on the retreat include: identity, deliverance, the Sacraments and inner healing, and redemptive suffering.

Referring to the importance of recognizing one’s identity, Father Doty said, “The more we realize who we are, the better off we are. God created us simply out of love for us, there is nothing we did to earn this life. From the moment that God thought of us, it was a total gift.”

After a powerful “Healing the Whole Person Conference” given by the Schuchts brothers in Lincoln last July, Father Doty said he hopes the graces of that experience will help many more people “discover God’s heart for you, receive the healing He wants to give, and come to a fuller understanding of His purpose for your life.”

Father Doty, a priest for 22 years, is pastor of St. Peter Church in Lincoln, and is the director of the Lincoln Equipping Team, a prayer and healing ministry.

The weekend begins Friday, Nov. 1 at 8 p.m. with rosary and Holy Day Mass for All Saints, and ends Sunday Nov. 3 with Mass and lunch.  Register online and see the full schedule of retreats atgoodcounselretreat.org, call 402-786-2705 or email This email address is being protected from spambots.
