Bishop James Conley celebrated the "commissioning Mass" June 23 for missionaries with the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS). The Mass was celebrated in the St. Thomas Aquinas Newman Center on the campus of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a training site for FOCUS.

Bishop James Conley blessed the new Women’s Care Center location at 1701 K St. in Lincoln June 15. The Women’s Care Center is the largest pregnancy resource center in America, serving more than 44,000 mothers and babies annually, at 39 locations in 12 states. The first Lincoln location opened in December 2020 at 5632 S. 48th St.

 The organization’s mission is to help pregnant women choose life for their babies, to have healthier pregnancies and become better parents. They provide free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, counseling, classes on caring for and raising a child, diapers and wipes, new baby clothes, strollers and car seats. St. Teresa Parish in Lincoln held a Eucharistic procession June 7 for the Solemnity of Corpus Christi. Pastor Father Nicholas Kipper carried the Eucharist in the procession from St. Teresa Church to the Adoration Chapel of Christ the King at the convent of the Holy Spirit Adoration Sisters ("Pink Sisters").

Spirit Catholic Radio and the Knights of Columbus hosted a “Mexican Martyrs Relic Tour” in Nebraska and Iowa. The tour visited Cristo Rey Church in Lincoln June 11. The first-class relics are from “Martyrs of Christ the King,” those killed during the 1920s persecution of Catholics by the Mexican government in the Cristero War. Among the many canonized and beatified Mexican martyrs are nine Knights of Columbus, including six priest-martyrs whose relics were present in Lincoln.

Bishop James Conley consecrated the Catholic Diocese of Lincoln to the Sacred Heart of Jesus June 12 in the Cathedral of the Risen Christ in Lincoln.

The ceremony followed the June 11 consecration of the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, leading up to the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

The Nebraska Catholic Conference (NCC) presented "What Binds Marriage Forever" May 28, a panel discussion featuring Lincoln author and scholar Jennifer Bryson and Msgr. Thomas Fucinaro from the Cathedral of the Risen Christ, exploring the theological, political and cultural implications of marriage. The event, held at St. Teresa Parish in Lincoln, also featured Tom Venzor, executive director of the NCC, and Marion Miner, associate director for pro-life and family.

A holy hour for vocations was held Friday, May 22 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Newman Center in Lincoln, to pray for Deacon Peter Foley and Deacon Bradley Moss. Bishop James Conley presided and Father Benjamin Holdren preached. Bishop Emeritus Fabian Bruskewitz was also in attendance.
