Emmaus Institute: Be equipped to become better reader of Sacred Scripture
LINCOLN (SNR) The Emmaus Institute for Biblical Studies will offer a half-day seminar Saturday, Oct. 19, from 8:30 to noon, entitled, The Bible: What Is It? Where Does It Come From? Why Is It Essential To Your Faith?
Organizers said the informative seminar aims at inspiring and equipping participants to become better readers of Sacred Scripture –a “letter from Almighty God” and the Church’s most precious text. Drawing on his long career of biblical study and teaching as a former Protestant pastor and seminary professor, Dr. Vern Steiner’s presentation is appropriate for everyone who is seriously interested in the Bible, from beginners to seasoned students.
For more information and to register, please go to www.emmausinstitute.net by Oct. 17. The seminar cost is $30 and includes coffee and refreshments. Due to limited space, early registration is encouraged.
This is the first quarterly seminar Emmaus plans to offer throughout the year. The newly founded Institute launched its regular program of classes last month with more than 80 students enrolled. The Emmaus Institute serves the people of the Diocese of Lincoln by providing high quality instruction and resources in Biblical Studies. Its mission is to inspire all Christians to a greater love for Christ through a deepening understanding of God’s Word. More information can be found at www.emmausinstitute.net.
