Group to sponsor meal, ‘Unplanned’ movie, discussion

AURORA (SNR) – The Loving Life Coalition will sponsor “Discover the Truth About Life” at the Aurora Public Schools commons area and theatre in Aurora Nov. 9.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for a chili and cinnamon roll supper.  Teresa Kenney, APRN, of the Pope St. Paul VI Institute in Omaha, will speak during the meal.

The movie “Unplanned” will start at 6:30 p.m., followed by a panel discussion in a question-and-answer format. The movie tells the true story of former Planned Parenthood clinic director Abby Johnson’s conversion into a pro-life activist.

There will be five speakers on the panel after the movie, including Register columnist and Hastings attorney, Bob Sullivan; Michael Skoch, M.D., formerly of Hastings; and Emily (Hoeller) Daniel, formerly of Lincoln.  The other panel members include a local doctor whose expertise is in embryology, and a crisis pregnancy center employee who works daily to protect and defend the voiceless unborn.

Tickets are free, and are available on Eventbrite, or at bit.ly/discovertruth.  Participants may come for the whole evening, or just the movie and discussion.  Please obtain free tickets by Nov. 1.
