LINCOLN (SNR) – Lincoln Mothers on a Mission (MOMs) will host “Look to the Star,” a retreat for women on Mary by Katie Sciba.
The event will be held Feb. 22 from 9 a.m. to noon at the St. Thomas Aquinas Newman Center, 320 N. 16th St., Lincoln. The cost is $25 per person.
The retreat, which falls the weekend before Ash Wednesday, will draw on a homily on Our Lady Star of the Sea by St. Bernard of Clairvaux: “If you are tossed by the waves of pride or ambition, detraction or envy, look to the star, call upon Mary. If anger or avarice or the desires of the flesh dash against the ship of your soul, turn your eyes to Mary.”

MOMs is a group of Catholic mothers searching for fellowship, hope, and joy in the ever-changing vocation.
Coffee, ice water and breakfast snacks will be served. Childcare will not be available, but young nursing babies are welcome to come if needed.
