HASTINGS (SNR) – Following the national and state regulations for COVID19, the annual fundraiser for Hastings Catholic Schools, B.L.U.E. 2020, will change this year.

“The Hastings Community has always stepped up in huge ways throughout the many challenges over the course of our 108-year history,” a statement said. “Right now is one of those times! We not only will step up, but reinvent and use this as an opportunity to engage even more people in our mission and in support of our students and our school.”

B.L.U.E. 2020 will now be two separate celebrations.

The traditional B.L.U.E. dinner and auction scheduled for March 28 is moving online as eBLUE. The event will be hosted on the Hastings Catholics Schools Facebook page and utilizing Qtego online auction software to facilitate the evening. All supporters and guests – anyone with online access – are invited to register for the auction and “instabuys” by texting EBLUE to 79230 or visiting https://www.qtego.net/qlink/hastingsblue.

The Facebook Live will include emcee Dan Sheehy, as well as many surprises throughout the evening.

“We encourage you to invite your friends and family to join us online,” the statement said, “as many are looking for fun ways to connect during this unique time. What a better way to bring people together than to give them something to be part of for our school!”
