North Platte parish to host day of reflection, renewal May 6

NORTH PLATTE (SNR) – St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in North Platte will hold a day of reflection and renewal May 6 at the church, 3301 Echo Dr.

The event, “Real Women wear Armor,” will be led by Janette Howe, foundress of the Seven Sisters Apostolate. The Seven Sisters Apostolate is a Eucharistic association of women who feel called to strengthen the Church by ensuring that a Holy Hour is prayed each day of the week for the sole intention of a specific priest or bishop. Apostolates around the world pray for priests and bishops in more than 1,350 parishes, chanceries, seminaries, hospitals, and other locations. The apostolate has been active in the Diocese of Lincoln since 2017.

The May 6 retreat will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The day will include a scriptural rosary, Mass with Bishop Joseph Hanefeldt of the Grand Island Diocese, the Divine Mercy Chaplet, reflective sessions by Howe and learning more about the Seven Sisters Apostolate. Participants should bring their Bibles.

A modified session will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

A suggested fee of $10 will include a continental breakfast, lunch, snacks and an offering to support the foundress.

Registration is required by April 26 at https://seas-np.org.

All women and men are invited and may attend in person or virtually, but pre-registration is required.
