ROSELAND (SNR) – Sacred Heart Church in Roseland observed its centennial Sunday, Aug. 29.

Bishop James D. Conley, Bishop of Lincoln, was the principal celebrant for the centennial Mass. Former pastors Father Thomas Lux, Father Thomas Au, Father Thomas Brouillette, Father Jonathan Haschke, as well as Father Leo Seiker, Father Mark Seiker, Father Douglas Daro, and Father Christopher Eckrich along with present pastor Father Nathan Hall concelebrated the Mass.

Ron Sidlo served as lector, Bernie Parr and Allen Ehrman were acolytes and Isaac Mackin, Jack Sorensen and Paxton Sorensen were altar servers. The organist and choir director for the Mass was Tim Trausch. The Assumption-Sacred Heart Choir provided music for the liturgy.

A dinner, a quilt raffle and a silent auction organized by the Altar Society and the Knights of Columbus were held for all present after Mass.
