LINCOLN (SNR) – Registration opens Feb. 1 for “Camp Archangel” at St. Michael School in Lincoln.

Camp Archangel is a summer enrichment program for all students entering grades 1-9, hosted by St. Michael School, 9101 S. 78th St., Lincoln.

Morning and afternoon sessions will be available the weeks of June 6-10 and June 13-17. Students have a wide variety of choices, such as “Slime Time” and “Kitchen Adventures,” as well as new offerings like “Blast Off to Outer Space” and “Disney Princess Dance Camp.”

“We love the number of different options that are offered so the kids can choose camps that interest them the most,” said Erin Rea of St. Michael Parish. “As a parent I love that camp is offered by many teachers we know. We trust them and they are able to lead the groups to create a very positive experience.”

The school launched Camp Archangel in June 2019, led by Patty Marmie, development director, and Emily Sellhorn, camp coordinator.

“Families love the availability of programming to keep their students engaged with hands-on learning and fun during summer,” Sellhorn said. “Teachers love that they can supplement their incomes and keep their classroom skills sharp. It’s a win-win for all.”

Mandy Svoboda said her two children who attend Camp Archangel “had huge grins and stories every time we picked them up. They brought home fun experiences and projects each day. They can’t wait to go back this summer!”

Registration will go live at the St. Michael website, www.stmichaelmarauders.org, Feb. 1. Sessions run Monday through Friday from either 9 a.m. to noon or 1 to 4 p.m. Full-day camp options with early care and a supervised lunch are also available.

“Space is limited and classes will fill fast!” Marmie said.
