LINCOLN (SNR) – The Knights of Columbus of St. Peter Parish in Lincoln will collaborate with the Capitol City Ford & Mustang Club as they host the 41st “All Makes Car and Truck Show” Sept. 11.

The event will be held at Southeast Community College, 8800 “O” St. The show, featuring 300 vehicles, will be open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. St. Peter’s Knights of Columbus will serve lunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with all proceeds going to the event charities. Several other food trucks will also be available.

The event charities will be St. Gianna Women’s Homes of Catholic Social Services of Southern Nebraska, which provides a safe home and support for abused women and their children; and Heroes Into Homes, which helps and supports homeless veterans with many needs.

The show will be dedicated to the memory of 9/11. To support the theme, the marching band from Northeast High School will march the grounds playing patriotic tunes and a bugler from the Lincoln Symphony will play “Taps” as the colors are presented at the 11 a.m. opening ceremony.

The final day for show vehicle pre-registration is Sept. 9. Show participants may pre-register online at www.CCFMClub.com for $20, or register at the show for $30. Registration and check-in at the show will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. SCC students may register their vehicle for free with their student I.D. as part of a scholarship provided by the Capitol City Ford & Mustang Club.
