YORK (SNR) – Members of St. Joseph Parish in York, and students of St. Joseph School gathered on the parish grounds Aug. 29 to honor late pastor Msgr. James Reinert.
Msgr. Reinert was pastor at St. Joseph from 2010 until his death from cancer in 2020 at the age of 62.
The Autumn Blaze Maple tree was planted in his memory, and Aug. 29 the tree was blessed and a bronze plaque revealed. Current pastor Father John Sullivan presided, with Father Janusz Marzynski, senior priest in residence, assisting.
Msgr. Reinert’s mother Lorene, brother Nick and Nick’s wife Rae came from Lincoln to attend the celebration.
