Men and women are invited to a three-day deliverance and healing retreat with Father William Holoubek at Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House in Waverly Feb. 3-5.

The retreat is entitled “Unbound: Freedom in Christ.” Based on the book, “Unbound: A Practical Guide to Deliverance” by Neal Lozano, it employs five keys that enable people to experience a profound conversion and live in greater freedom. The Five Keys are: Repentance and Faith, Forgiveness, Renunciation, Command and the Father’s Blessing. The model allows individuals to respond to the Gospel by listening deeply to their own story and heart. More information about Unbound is available at www.lincolndiocese.org/unbound.

“Everyone has experienced pain and confusion from events and situations in their lives from our childhood until the present,” Father Holoubek said. “No one has had a perfect life. God our loving Father knows this and has sent His son, Jesus, to bring us healing and salvation by the power of His name.”

Prayer teams from the Unbound ministry will be available at the retreat to pray with participants using the Five Keys. Father Holoubek said it is meant to be a time of “being loved by our merciful God and letting Jesus touch those areas with His light and power.”

Retreatants are asked to have read the first nine chapters of the “Unbound” book if they would like to have a member of the ministry team pray with them, to help them have a deeper awareness of the reality of the hurts they have experienced and desire the power of Jesus’ love to heal.

This is the ninth year Father Holoubek has led Unbound retreats at Our Lady of Good Counsel. Ordained in 1997, Father Holoubek is pastor of St. Mary Parish in Ashland and St. Joseph in Greenwood. He is also the director of the Diocesan Mission Office.
