An event for young women will be held Sunday, March 30 at the Newman Center in Lincoln, to learn about consecrated life.
The evening is open to female young adults, college students, high school seniors. Attendees are asked to RSVP at tiny.cc/rsvpencounter. It will be held in Rosary Hall at the Newman Center from 4:30 to 8 p.m.
There will be dinner, talks, prayer, and fellowship throughout the evening. It was planned for women who are unsure where to start for vocational discernment, or who want to learn more about consecrated women.
The event is supported by the diocesan vocations director Father Alec Sasse, the Newman Center, and the School Sisters of Christ the King and the Marian Sisters of the Diocese of Lincoln.
“We are also looking for people from the diocese to support us in prayer,” said organizer Anna Youell. “We have a sign-up sheet inviting parishioners to pray a holy hour, nine days leading up to the event and during the event.” People can sign up at http://tiny.cc/encounter-prayer-sign-up.
