Magnificat of Lincoln will host a holy hour to pray for priests Thursday, April 3, from 7 to 8 p.m. in the chapel of the John XXIII Diocesan Center, 3700 Sheridan Blvd., Lincoln.

Father Robert Barnhill, spiritual advisor for Magnificat, will preside and Sister Marie Day of the Schoenstatt Sister of Mary will lead a meditation on the priesthood. The rosary will be prayed together and there will be silent personal prayer time.

Praying for priests is the fifth objective of the Magnificat ministry. Materials from Gloria Deo will be available for purchase at the holy hour, to assist individuals in praying for priests. There will also be free material from Magnificat, the Seven Sisters Apostolate, Schoenstatt, and other sources. With questions, contact Magnificat coordinator Rhonda Litt by text at 402.525.6396, or call and leave a message.

Magnificat is a ministry to Catholic women, a private association of the faithful within the Catholic Church under the jurisdiction of the Lincoln Diocese. Women of other Christian faiths are welcome to attend.

The primary purpose of Magnificat is to help Christian women become more open to the Holy Spirit through a deeper commitment of their lives to Jesus as Lord and to impart the Holy Spirit to one another by love, service and sharing the good news of salvation.
