Informational meeting to be Tuesday, April 22, at 7 p.m. in St. Joseph Church, Lincoln

All are invited to join Father Gary Coulter and Father Matthew Eickhoff in a Jubilee Year pilgrimage Nov. 3-14, “Saints and Shrines of Italy.”

An informational meeting will be held Tuesday, April 22, at 7 p.m. in St. Joseph Church, Lincoln, to learn about the pilgrimage, travel tips, saints, the history of jubilees and the Holy Doors, and more.

A truly Catholic pilgrimage, the trip includes daily Mass, learning about numerous saints, relics and Eucharistic miracles, and processing through the Holy Doors in Rome for the 2025 Jubilee.

Father Coulter, director of Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House in Waverly, said he is excited about the trip because, “Our pilgrimage includes visiting the tombs of two saints being canonized in the Jubilee Year: Carlo Acutis in Assisi, and Pier Giorgio Frassati in Turin.”

Father Eickhoff, pastor of St. Joseph Parish in Benkelman and St. Joseph in Stratton, said as much as he enjoys the incredible museums and churches in Florence and Rome, “some favorite places of mine are the small towns like Orvieto and Siena.”

The 12-day itinerary includes Milan, Turin, Florence, Siena, Assisi, Orvieto, and Rome. The cost – $5,675 per person/double occupancy, departing Omaha – includes all transportation, 4-star hotels, tips, fees, two meals daily, and local guides. There is a $300 deposit to register, the balance is due in August.

Those interested in attending may view the flyer with details of the full itinerary and register at frcoulter.com/rome or contact Father Coulter at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or Father Eickhoff at 308-423-2329.
