The Catholic Diocese of Lincoln will offer an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the beauty and the mystery of the Mass with a new video and study program.
“The Mass,” a series of 12 videos from Bishop Robert Barron and his Word on Fire ministry, is available for those who opt in to receive them through Flocknote emails from the Catholic Diocese of Lincoln.
The video series focuses on the Mass, “the source and summit of the Christian life.” The videos feature talks from Bishop Barron on topics including the most important thing a person can do on earth, what the Mass is really about, what makes a homily good and “When God speaks, things happen.”
The videos will be sent twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday mornings for six weeks, starting Sept. 23 through Oct. 30. Anyone can receive the emails for free by opting in through the diocese’s Flocknote.
“This is another part of our ongoing ‘Prepare & Proclaim: Enriching our Mass Experience’ diocesan program,” said Dennis Kellogg, director of communications for the diocese. “It’s another resource we have to grow in our faith and our love for the Mass.
“These videos are engaging and interesting. Bishop Barron does a really good job of explaining the Mass. Whether you attend daily or weekly, or if you haven’t been in a while, they will hopefully renew or grow your love for the Eucharist,” Kellogg said.
The videos are created to help individuals and families learn more about the Mass and be better prepared to participate in the Mass.
Registration is required in order to receive the videos, starting Sept. 23. Sign up at https://lincolndiocese.flocknote.com/massvideoseries.
