‘Come to me all you who labor and are burdened’

Southern Nebraska Register

Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House in Waverly invites men and women to attend an Inner Healing Retreat Oct. 31 through Nov. 2, titled: “Come to me all you who labor and are burdened.”

The retreat will be led by Father Ryan Salisbury and is available both in person at the retreat house and virtually online. The weekend begins Friday with the rosary and Mass at 8 p.m. and concludes Sunday at noon after Mass and lunch.

This inner healing retreat emphasizes that in order to grow in holiness, one must also pursue wholeness. Retreatants will have the opportunity to receive prayer from trained ministers of the Lincoln Equipping Team, a prayer and healing ministry whose mission is to empower Catholics to pray for one another and experience Christ’s healing love. Private one-hour prayer sessions, extended Eucharistic adoration, and talks on healing will give participants space to encounter the transforming love of the Trinity in a deeply personal way.

Past participants have shared powerful testimonies about their experiences, describing the retreat as a time of direction, renewal, and intimacy with God. One retreatant wrote, “I loved my experience and cannot wait to come back! This was a place where I felt at home while being away from home. I felt like I could really be with the Holy Spirit and God throughout this time.”
Registration for the retreat is now open, with both in-person and virtual options available.
