Our Lady of Good Counsel to host retreat with Fr. Elias Mary, F.I., Dec. 19–21

Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House in Waverly invites the faithful to a special Advent retreat, “Great Marian Saints and Prophets,” led by Father Elias Mary, F.I., Dec. 19–21.
Participants may attend in person at the retreat house or virtually online.
The weekend retreat will begin Friday with an 8 p.m. rosary and Mass, and conclude Sunday after Mass and a noon lunch.
Father Elias Mary, a missionary priest with the Franciscans of the Immaculate, recently celebrated the 25th jubilee of his priestly ordination. His ministry has taken him across Australia, Italy, and the United States, where he has dedicated his life to promoting devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
“Of Mary, one can never say enough,” said Father Elias. “Devotion to Mary is absolutely essential and central to becoming an imitator of Christ and bringing His love to the world.”
Throughout the retreat, Father Elias Mary will explore the lives and teachings of St. Louis de Montfort, St. Maximilian Kolbe, and Bl. William Chaminade; three men whose messages and love for the Blessed Mother continue to inspire and guide the Church today.
“My desire,” Father Elias Mary said, “is to make Our Lady better known and loved, so that Jesus can be better known and loved—and to help bring about the reign of the Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary.”
