The “FunRaising Committee” of St. Mary Parish in David City will hold a Christmas tour of homes Sunday, Dec. 14.
A few years ago, the committee held a tour of churches.
“It was a fun event and well attended,” said committee member Connie Novacek, “so this year we thought we would go with a Christmas theme and do a tour of homes.”
The tour will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Participants will meet at Aquinas Elementary, 1026 5th St., for instructions. Five groups will then be sent to tour the homes decorated for Christmas.
Cheesecake and flavored coffees are included in the tour, and will be served at the end of the tour in the school gymnasium. There will be Christmas décor available for purchase. Door prizes will be awarded, though participants must be present to win.
A free-will offering of $20 is suggested. Tickets must be reserved by calling or texting 402-367-9539. Carpool groups can be arranged when calling.
Funds raised in the project will go toward the remodel of the rectory at St. Mary Parish.
