by Fr. Justin Fulton

Peace to you.

On behalf of Bishops Conley, Bruskewitz, and Finn and all of the religious and priests of the Diocese of Lincoln, here’s to a wonderful, blessed, safe, and happy Thanksgiving!

May we always thank God for his bountiful goodness to us. And may we thank Him and His Son for Jesus’ and Resurrection which has given us to opportunity to live in the Life of the Blessed Trinity.

May we thank Him for our blessings and remember to share His blessings with those around us, especially our enemies and those who do not know the Person of Jesus Christ.

I share with you a Litany of Thanksgiving that was shared with me by the Holy Spirit Adoration Sisters (Pink Sisters) in Lincoln. Perhaps consider praying this at your family dinner this Thanksgiving and throughout the year.

Thank you for your faith in Jesus Christ and His Sacraments. May God bless us all!

A Litany of Thanksgiving
For all You have given me
     My God I thank You
For all you have withheld
     My God I thank You
For all You have withdrawn
     My God I thank You
For all You have permitted
     My God I thank You
For all You have prevented
     My God I thank You
For all the sincere friends You have given me
     My God I thank You
For all You have forgiven me
     My God I thank You
For all You have prepared for me
     My God I thank You
For the death You have chosen for me
     My God I thank You
For the place You are keeping for me in Heaven
     My God I thank You
For having created me to love You for eternity
     My God I thank You
My God I thank You for all things
And may I live and die thanking You.
Amen.
