The third- and sixth-graders at St. James School in Crete are studying the Middle Ages in history class. They celebrated the Easter Octave April 14 with a medieval banquet together in the parish hall. Sixth-graders helped serve the food, which included chicken drumsticks, potato wedges, roasted carrots, hot cross buns, charcuterie, apple cider “mead,” fruit tarts and creme custard pudding. The students are taught by Mrs. Avery Uhing and Sr. Mary Guadalupe. Courtesy photos.
