Spirit Catholic Radio and the Knights of Columbus hosted a “Mexican Martyrs Relic Tour” in Nebraska and Iowa. The tour visited Cristo Rey Church in Lincoln June 11. The first-class relics are from “Martyrs of Christ the King,” those killed during the 1920s persecution of Catholics by the Mexican government in the Cristero War. Among the many canonized and beatified Mexican martyrs are nine Knights of Columbus, including six priest-martyrs whose relics were present in Lincoln.
