Bishop Conley was installed as the 9th Bishop of the diocese of Lincoln, Nebraska on November 20, 2012. The installation Mass was televised live on EWTN.

A panel of Catholic leaders in the Archdiocese of Denver speak on Blessed John Henry Cardinal Newman, led by Bishop James Conley (who begins at 40:25).

On September 14th, 2012 a Press Conference was held at the Blessed John XXIII Diocesan Center in Lincoln, Nebraska to announce that Bishop James D. Conley will be the successor to Bishop Fabian W. Bruskewitz for the Diocese of Lincoln.
