This class reflects on the conquest of the Promised Land and the Canaanites, led by Joshua. In time, God raises up Judges to guide the people. After a succession of Judges, including Gideon and Samson, God calls Samuel to serve him. Students will conclude this class with a discussion of what happened when the Israelites asked Samuel to anoint a king for them so that they could be like the other nations around them.
