LINCOLN (SNR) – Runners who are passionate about the dignity of life are invited to make all their races “Pro-Life Races.”
Ivan and Lynette Ivanov of the Cathedral of the Risen Christ Parish in Lincoln started a group dedicated to running and spreading the pro-life message, “Running Pro-Life.”
“Let’s make all of the races we run pro-life races,” Ivan said. “Let’s not be shy to show the world that in this culture of death, life still has plenty of friends.”
The group encourages runners to wear a pro-life singlet or t-shirt in every race. High-quality, technical shirts with a pro-life message are available for purchase online – the link is on the Facebook page “Running Pro-Life.”
Each year during the 40 Days For Life prayer campaign, the organization will provide the opportunity to purchase the shirts. All proceeds will go toward a local pro-life organization. “This year,” Ivan said, “100% of the proceeds will go to St. Gianna Women’s Homes who provide housing and other services for women who are coerced into having an abortion and/or who are fleeing from domestic violence.
“Let’s make a difference,” he continued. “Let’s stand up for life.”
