Deans
A ‘dean’ is the title of a priest appointed by the bishop to aid him in administering the parishes in a certain vicinity, called a “deanery.” The function of a dean involves promotion, coordination, and supervision of the common pastoral activity within the deanery. There are 15 deaneries in the Diocese of Lincoln. A dean is also called a ‘vicar forane,’ noted V.F.

Rev. Maurice Current is appointed Dean of the Orleans Deanery in addition to his current assignments.
Rev. Gary Gross is appointed Dean of the Wahoo Deanery in addition to his current assignments, with permission to complete his studies through this August.

Rev. Christopher Eckrich is appointed Diocesan Master of Ceremonies, Interim Director of the Charity and Stewardship Appeal, Interim Director of the Bishop’s Appeal for Vocations, Diocesan Director of Acolyte and Lector Program, and member of the Diocesan Liturgical Commission. He retains his assignments as teacher at Pius X High School and Advocate on the Diocesan Tribunal. He will be in Residence at Cathedral of the Risen Christ Parish in Lincoln.
Rev. Corey Harrison is appointed teacher at Hastings Catholic Schools in Hastings in addition to his current assignments.
Rev. Lee Jirovsky is appointed Chief Administrative Officer at Bishop Neumann Jr./Sr. High School in Wahoo and Priest in Residence at St. Wenceslaus Parish in Wahoo.
Rev. Nicholas Kipper is appointed Priest in Residence at St. Teresa Parish in Lincoln and Co-Chaplain of the Frassati Apostolate, in addition to his current assignments.
Rev. Steven Mills is appointed part-time Chaplain for Campus Ministry at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas, and to further studies in Education Administration.
Rev. James Morin is assigned to the program at the Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy in Rome, while continuing further studies.

Rev. Benjamin Rynearson is appointed Assistant Chief Administrative Officer of Bishop Neumann Jr./Sr. High School in Wahoo, in addition to his current assignments.
Rev. Msgr. Daniel Seiker is appointed Chaplain at Wyoming Catholic College in Lander, Wyoming.

Very Rev. Joseph Walsh is appointed Vicar for Clergy, Diocesan Director of the Hospitals, Nursing Home and Retirement Homes Apostolate, Director of the Apostleship of Prayer and Enthronement of the Sacred Heart, and an ex-officio member of the Presbyteral Council and Priests Continuing Education Committee in addition to his current assignments.
Rev. Matthew Zimmer is appointed Director of Education Technology Systems in addition to his current assignments. He is relieved of his appointment as Assistant Chief Administrative Officer at Bishop Neumann High School in Wahoo.
