PLATTSMOUTH (SNR) – “The Man of the Shroud” exhibit will be displayed at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth through Feb. 16.
The exhibit, on display in the church commons, describes the history and science of the Shroud of Turin – believed by many to be the burial cloth of Jesus Christ – and includes replicas of the crown of thorns, whips, nails and holy sponge used in the Passion of Our Lord. The 42-panel exhibit is provided by Spirit Catholic Radio.
Shroud expert Jim Bertrand, M.Ed. of Lincoln, a member of the American Confraternity of the Holy Shroud, will give a special presentation and a rare viewing of a replica of the shroud in the sanctuary of the church, 520 S. 18th St., Plattsmouth, Tuesday, Feb. 15, at 6:30 p.m. The presentation is open to the public and free-will donations will be accepted.
