LINCOLN (SNR) – Father Zachary of The Mother of God, well known speaker and presenter, will lead a mission in area parishes Feb. 26 through March 13.

The mission, which includes Father Zachary preaching at Masses and leading multiple conferences, will focus on a Lenten Eucharistic revival as the people of God journey to the Easter Triduum. The Knights of the Holy Eucharist of the Diocese of Lincoln are organizing and assisting in the events.

At each event, Father Zachary will provide an overview of the Lenten journey and focus on prayer, fasting, and almsgiving.

“Additionally,” he said, “we will come to understand how to be led by the Holy Spirit to holiness of life, and learn to imitate Mary, become like Jesus and live for the Triune God.”

Father Zachary is a priest of the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity (SOLT) and currently serves as the formation director for the American region of SOLT. He travels around the United States teaching and leading Catholics to live their Baptismal promises and to respond to the “universal call to holiness.” He speaks frequently at conferences and parish missions; and serves regularly as a retreat master for the lay faithful, sisters, seminarians and brother priests.

The mission will begin at Sacred Heart Parish in Lincoln, Feb. 27 through March 1. Father Zachary will preach at the parish’s Sunday Masses, then direct conferences at 7 p.m. each evening through Tuesday.

He will preach at the Ash Wednesday Masses at St. Joseph Parish in Lincoln March 2, with conferences Thursday and Friday March 3 and 4 at 7:30 p.m.

Father Zachary will then visit North American Martyrs Parish in Lincoln, preaching at the five weekend Masses and then providing conferences Sunday through Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. He will then conclude the mission at St. Peter Parish in Omaha March 12-15.
