LINCOLN (SNR) – Sister Ines Dizon, 83, of Lincoln, died April 9.
She was a member of the Holy Spirit Adoration Sisters or “Pink Sisters.” Sister Mary Ines made her first profession of vows May 21, 1966. She served in Lincoln from 1982 to 2001, and again from 2005 till her death April 9.
Born in Cebu City, Phillipines, Sister Ines was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings. She is survived by siblings Luisa Montesclares, Agnes Allego, Marisal Santiago, Lilia Johnson, Priscilla Solano, Gerardo, Jovencio, Pablo and Isidmo Dizon.
Bishop James Conley celebrated her funeral Mass April 12 in the Christ the King Chapel with Father Jamie Hottovy and priests of the Diocese of Lincoln concelebrating. Burial was in the Good Shepherd Cemetery, Waverly. Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
