Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House in Waverly will host a free 12-week Lenten Bible study Jan. 26 through April 13.
The study, “The Story of Salvation with Curtis Martin and Dr. Edward Sri,” is sponsored by FOCUS campus ministry.
All are welcome to join Father Gary Coulter, director of the retreat house, in watching a 55-minute video each week, followed by small group discussion. The study will be held Thursdays, Jan. 26 through April 13, at 7 p.m. at the retreat house, 7303 N. 112th St., Waverly.
Father Coulter said participants will come away with a “Big Picture” of the Bible, see how the Catholic Faith fits in Scripture, discover the role individual stories play in the story, and learn how to share the story of God’s plan with others.
“If you miss a week, you can watch the video on your own,” he said.
Free-will donations will be accepted to help support the retreat house’s mission to provide a sanctuary and experience which leads people to encounter Jesus Christ.
