Pastors
Rev. Douglas Daro is appointed Pastor of St. Benedict Parish in Nebraska City, and teacher at Lourdes Central High School. He retains his assignment with Spanish ministry and his position as an Advocate on the Diocesan Tribunal. He is relieved of all other assignments.
Rev. Jason Doher is appointed Pastor of St. Patrick Parish in Manley and St. Mary Parish in Elmwood. He is relieved of all other assignments.
Rev. Stephen Graeve is appointed Pastor of St. Peter Parish and St. Joseph Parish in Bellwood and Chaplain at Aquinas High School in David City. He is relieved of all other assignments.
Rev. K. William Holoubek is appointed Pastor of St. Anthony Parish in Bruno and Sts. Peter and Paul Parish in Abie, and teacher at Aquinas Catholic High School in David City. He retains Director of the Diocesan Mission Office and is relieved of all other assignments.
Rev. Ronald Homes is appointed Pastor of St. Joseph Parish in Paul and St. Bernard Parish in Julian, and teacher at Lourdes Central High School in Nebraska City. He is relieved of all other assignments.
Rev. Ryan Kaup is appointed Pastor of St. Thomas Aquinas Newman Center in Lincoln. He is relieved of all other assignments.
Very Rev. Robert Matya is appointed Pastor of St. Mary Parish in Ashland and St. Joseph Parish in Greenwood. He retains appointment as Vicar for Development, and Chaplain of Legatus. He is relieved of all other assignments.
Rev. Thomas Wiedel is appointed Pastor of St. James Parish in Curtis, St. Joseph Parish in Farnam, and St. William Parish in Wellfleet. He is relieved of all other assignments.
Parochial Vicars
Rev. Dale Allder is appointed Parochial Vicar of the Cathedral of the Risen Christ, teacher at Pius X High School, and assistant Master of Ceremonies. He retains his position as an Advocate on the Diocesan Tribunal. He is relieved of all other assignments.
Rev. Robert Froeschl is appointed Parochial Vicar of Blessed Sacrament Parish in Lincoln, and part-time national chaplain of FOCUS. He retains his position as teacher at Pius X High School, and as an Advocate on the Diocesan Tribunal. He is relieved of all other assignments.
Rev. Caleb Hile is appointed Parochial Vicar of Sts. Peter and Paul Parish in Falls City, teacher at Sacred Heart High School, and assistant Pro-Life Director. He retains his position as an Advocate on the Diocesan Tribunal. He is relieved of all other assignments.
Rev. Robert Johnson is appointed Parochial Vicar of St. Wenceslaus Parish in Wahoo, and teacher at Bishop Neumann High School in Wahoo. He retains his position as an Advocate on the Diocesan Tribunal. He is relieved of all other assignments.
Rev. Matthew Kovar is appointed Parochial Vicar of St. Patrick Parish in McCook. He continues his studies for Educational Administration and his position as an Advocate on the Diocesan Tribunal. He is relieved of all other assignments.
In Residence
Rev. Shravankumar Raminedi is appointed Parochial Vicar at St. Peter Parish in Lincoln, with nursing home outreach. He retains his appointment as Chaplain at Bryan West Hospital in Lincoln. He is relieved of all other assignments.
Rev. Thomas Walsh is appointed Senior Parochial Vicar at St. Mary Parish in Lincoln, with Mass coverage within the Diocese and special outreach to the poor. He is relieved of all other assignments.
Special Appointments
Rev. Timothy Danek is appointed to study Educational Administration for the Diocese of Lincoln. He retains all other assignments.
Rev. Jude Asitha Hettiarachchi is appointed teacher at Pius X High School in Lincoln. He retains all other assignments.
Rev. Steven Mills is appointed assistant Chief Administrative Officer of Bishop Neumann Junior & Senior High School in Wahoo, with residence at St. Joseph Parish in Colon.
Rev. Daniel Rayer is appointed Chaplain for the local Catholic Medical Association, St. Joseph Mascato Guild. He retains all other assignments.
Rev. Alec Sasse is appointed Vocations Director of the Diocese of Lincoln, and Chaplain and Spiritual Director of the Serra Club. He is relieved of teaching at Pius X High School. He retains all other assignments.
Rev. Andrew Schwenka is temporarily relieved of his pastoral obligations in the Diocese of Lincoln to study Philosophy at the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas in Rome, Italy.
Rev. Christian Schwenka is appointed to study Educational Administration for the Diocese of Lincoln. He retains all other assignments.
Rev. Adam Sparling is appointed assistant Pro-Life Director for the Diocese of Lincoln. He retains all other assignments.
Rev. Joseph Wahlmeier is temporarily relieved of his pastoral obligations in the Diocese of Lincoln to study for a Licentiate in Theology, specializing in Biblical Theology, at the Pontifical Gregorian University, in Rome Italy.
Retirement
Rev. Steven Cooney is granted retirement and is released from all pastoral obligations and assignments in the Diocese of Lincoln.
Relieved
Rev. Sean Kilcawley is relieved of his appointment as Diocesan Director of the Office of Family Life and Evangelization.
Rev. Lawrence Stoley is relieved of his appointment as Director of Religious Education. He retains all other assignments.
Deacon
Dcn. Matthew Hecker is granted retirement as Chief Administrative Officer of Catholic Schools. He is appointed Catholic Chaplain on the Lincoln/Lancaster County Chaplaincy Corps and Associate in the Family Life & Discipleship Office. He retains Director of the Permanent Diaconate Program and his ministry at St. Joseph Church in Lincoln. He is relieved of all other assignments.

Rev. Scott Nemec is appointed Parochial Vicar of St. Cecilia’s Parish in Hastings, teacher at St. Cecilia High School, and as an Advocate on the Diocesan Tribunal.
Rev. Louden Redinger is appointed Parochial Vicar of St. Joseph Parish in Lincoln, teacher at Pius X High School, and as an Advocate on the Diocesan Tribunal. He is also to assist at Cristo Rey Catholic Church on a regular basis.
Rev. Matthew Schilmoeller is appointed Parochial Vicar of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Lincoln, teacher at Pius X High School, and as an Advocate on the Diocesan Tribunal. (Effective July 1, 2023.)
