The Morning Star Chapter of Magnificat in Lincoln will host an event Saturday, July 15, at 9:30 a.m., featuring speaker Michele Chambers.

The morning includes breakfast, prayer, praise and worship, and Chambers’ testimony and witness. It will be held at Hillcrest Country Club, 9401 O St., Lincoln.

Chambers works for the Youth Ministry and Religious Education offices for the Catholic Diocese of Lincoln, teaches the Creighton Model method of family planning, is the religious education coordinator for St. Joseph Parish in Lincoln, and is active in several ministries in her parish, as well. In her talk, she will share her faith journey, especially the 37 years of prayer that culminated in her husband Brian coming into the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil this spring.

Magnificat is a ministry to Catholic women, a private association of the faithful within the Catholic Church under the jurisdiction of the Lincoln Diocese. Women of other Christian faiths are welcome to attend.

The fall prayer meal event will be held Saturday, Nov. 4, featuring speaker Father Brian Kane, rector of St. Gregory the Great Seminary in Seward.
