St. Mary Parish in Dawson will celebrate the 150th anniversary of the parish Nov. 4 and 5.
A 2- to 3-mile “Road Run/Walk” will be held Saturday, Nov. 4 on the streets and gravel roads of Dawson. Registration starts at 8:15 a.m. at the parish hall, and the run/walk starts at 9 a.m. The registration fee is $25 and all money raised will go toward the church renovation fund.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5 in St. Mary Church, the fourth church structure of the parish, built in 1899. Guests are welcome.
Mass will be immediately followed by a light reception and a time to share memories. All are encouraged to bring photos and stories to share to celebrate.
