Both men and women are invited to encounter the great freedom of Jesus Christ in a Feb. 2-4 deliverance and healing retreat at Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House in Waverly.

Father William Holoubek will present “Unbound: Freedom in Christ.” The retreat allows hearts to open more fully and respond to Jesus’ invitation of living the abundant life. This retreat is an invitation for God’s healing love to break bonds of pain and wounds that affect lives spiritually, physically, mentally and emotionally.

“This will be a time of being loved by our merciful God and letting Jesus touch those areas (pain and wounds) with His light and power,” Father Holoubek explained.

This is the 10th year Father Holoubek will lead an Unbound retreat at Our Lady of Good Counsel.

Based on the book “Unbound: A Practical Guide to Deliverance” by Neal Lozano, the retreat employs five “keys” that enable people to experience a profound conversion and live in greater freedom: Repentance and Faith, Forgiveness, Renunciation, Command and the Father’s Blessing. More information about Unbound ministry is available at lincolndiocese.org/unbound.

Prayer teams from the Unbound ministry will be available at the retreat to pray with participants using the five keys. Retreatants are asked to have read the first nine chapters of the Unbound book if they would like to have a member of the ministry team pray with them.

Ordained 27 years ago, Father Holoubek is currently the pastor of St. Anthony Parish in Bruno and St. Peter and Paul Parish in Abie. He is also the director of the Diocesan Mission Office and teaches at Aquinas Catholic Schools in David City.
