Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House in Waverly will host the Love and Life Program 1: “I+You=We” March 9-10.

Couples of all ages are invited to the weekend workshop, where they will receive valuable examples and encouragement aimed at enriching and fortifying their marriages. The workshop offers fundamental steps to help couples address challenges and prepare for potential issues before they arise.

Guided by host couples and priests, participants will have the opportunity to navigate and heal from wounds within their marriages, gaining insights and resilience for the future. The workshop is tailored for all types of marriages, whether troubled, functional, or strong, with the goal of preventing habits and mistakes that can lead to unhappiness and divorce.

Marilyn Klein of St. Teresa Parish in Lincoln has attended the workshop several times with her husband, Mitch. She called the retreat “an overall awesome experience” with “tons of good, practical information and lots of time to connect and reconnect.”

Every time they have attended, “we have loved it,” she said.

After the retreat, couples will be able to become part of the “Love and Life Community” which serves as a “refueling station” and a safe harbor for graduates of I+You=We. The community allows couples and families to grow in friendship with others in the area, stay in touch, and refresh and practice the steps learned in I+You=We.

The Program 1 couples’ workshop will be held at Good Counsel Retreat House beginning Saturday, March 9, with 8 a.m. Mass. It will end Sunday, March 10, with 3 p.m. Mass.

The Love and Life Program was created by Father Jay, of the Institute of the Holy Family in Łomianki, Poland. For information or registration, visit www.goodcounselretreat.org or contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or 402-786-2705.
