Deans
Rev. Steven Major is appointed Dean of the Fairbury Deanery. He retains all other assignments.
Rev. John Sullivan is appointed Dean of the York Deanery. He retains all other assignments.
Pastors
Rev. Anthony Bedient is appointed pastor of St. Mary Church in Dawson and St. Anne Church in Shubert, and teacher at Sacred Heart High School in Falls City. He is released from his appointment as advocate on the Diocesan Tribunal.
Rev. Kenneth Borowiak is appointed pastor of St. Joseph Church in Friend.
Rev. Luke Fleck is appointed pastor of St. Joseph Church in Colon, and St. Mary Church in Cedar Bluffs; and teacher at Bishop Neumann High School in Wahoo. He retains his appointment at co-chaplain for the Legion of Mary. He is released from his appointment as advocate on the Diocesan Tribunal.
Rev. Justin Fulton is appointed pastor of St. Michael Church in Fairbury, and St. Mary Church in Alexandria.
Rev. T. Cole Kennett is appointed pastor of St. Michael Church in Lincoln.
Rev. Allan Phan is appointed pastor of St. Vincent Ferrer Church in Osceola and St. Mary Church in Pilzno. He retains his appointment as advocate on the Diocesan Tribunal.
Parochial Vicars
Rev. Prageeth Chamara, a priest on loan to the Diocese of Lincoln from the Archdiocese of Colombo, Sri Lanka, is appointed parochial vicar of St. Michael Church, and teacher at St. Cecilia’s High School in Hastings.
Rev. Robert Froeschl is appointed parochial vicar of St. Patrick Church in McCook and teacher at St. Patrick School. He retains all other assignments.
Rev. Liam O’Shea-Creal is appointed parochial vicar of North American Martyrs Church in Lincoln, and teacher at Pius X High School. He retains his appointment as advocate on the Diocesan Tribunal.
Rev. Mark Pfeiffer is appointed senior parochial vicar of Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth.
Special Appointments
Rev. Thomas Au is appointed to Nursing Home and Hospital Ministry in the Lincoln Deaneries. He is to take up his residence at Kucera Hall.
Rev. Kenneth Hoesing is appointed to Hispanic Ministry in the Hastings Deanery. He is to take up his residence at St. Joseph Church in Harvard.
Very Rev. Brian Kane is appointed as Director for Ongoing Formation of Junior Clergy. He retains all other assignments.
Rev. Matthew Kovar is appointed priest in residence at North American Martyrs Church in Lincoln. He retains his present assignments of teacher at Pius X High School, advocate on the Diocesan Tribunal, and studies in Educational Administration.
Rev. James Morin is appointed Vice Chancellor of the Diocese of Lincoln. He retains all other assignments.
Rev. Daniel Rayer is released from his present assignment as Vice Chancellor of the Diocese of Lincoln. He retains all other assignments. He is to take up his residence at Kucera Hall.
Rev. John Rooney is appointed Spiritual Director of St. Gregory the Great Seminary. He retains his positions as Assistant Professor and Director of Technology at the seminary, and is released from all other assignments.
Rev. Christian Schwenka is appointed to continue his studies in educational administration at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kan. He is released from his appointment as advocate on the Diocesan Tribunal.
Rev. Leo Seiker is appointed priest in residence at St. Patrick Church in Lincoln, and to Nursing Home ministry in the Lincoln Deaneries.
Retire/Sabbatical
Very Rev. John Birkel, V.F., is appointed as a supply priest and granted a three (3) month sabbatical. He is released from all other assignments.
Rev. David Bourek is granted retirement and is released from all assignments.
