Statement of Bishop James D. Conley on the July 13 shooting at the rally for Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump:
I am saddened to learn of the shooting at former President Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania today. Please join me in praying for the person who died and those injured, including former President Trump. Please pray also for our country at this difficult time. Violence can never be an option to our political differences. Our country needs God and his healing and peace.
