Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House in Waverly will host “Ablaze House of Prayer with Father Michael Voithofer and Encounter Ministries” Oct. 6.
The event will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on the front lawn of the retreat house in Waverly, with music for praise and worship, and Eucharistic adoration. All are welcome to attend. Participants are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets, and are welcome to picnic on the lawn, as well.
Ablaze ministry uses music, Scripture, spiritual teachings, and the power of the Eucharist and the Holy Spirit to enkindle in participants a burning love for God. The mission of Ablaze is to satisfy the deepest longing of Jesus’ Heart found in Luke 12:49: “I have come to cast fire upon the earth and how I wish it were blazing.” Ablaze was founded in 2012 to bring revival into the Earth.
Father Michael Voithofer, Ablaze founder, was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of Omaha in 2010. He served at multiple parishes until God called him to start the worship apostolate full-time.
In the event of rain, the Ablaze worship night Oct. 6 will be moved to the indoor chapel at the retreat house.
