‘There’s Always More with God’
Southern Nebraska Register
Women ages 19 to 99 and from all walks of life are invited to attend the “There’s Always More with God” retreat, led by the Marian Sisters of the Diocese of Lincoln.
The Marian-inspired retreat, scheduled for Dec. 6-8, offers a time of rest, reflection, and spiritual nourishment in the presence of Christ. The retreat aims to strengthen attendees’ intimacy with Jesus and renew their faith.
“We have felt abundantly blessed as Marian Sisters through the many opportunities we’ve been given to grow in our relationship with Christ and His Church,” Sister Amy Marie explained. “It has been on our hearts to somehow give back to our Catholic community what has so generously been given to us in our formation as brides of Christ.”
She said often, people can get stuck in routines and think, “I’ve heard this Scripture before,” or “I’ve already prayed through this theme before.”
“Our Lord is never outdone in His generosity!” she said. “The hope we have with this retreat is to provide a space to receive the ‘more’ that God offers in the context of our relationship with Him.”
Accompanied by a priest to support participants’ sacramental needs, the retreat will feature talks by the Marian Sisters, opportunities for confession, daily Holy Mass, time for prayer, and moments of silence for personal reflection. Designed to help women deepen their relationship with Christ, this retreat offers a unique opportunity for spiritual renewal with other faith-filled women.
The retreat will begin on Friday, Dec. 6, with a 6 p.m. check-in, followed by an optional First Friday Mass at 6:30 p.m. The first conference session will begin at 7:15 p.m. Throughout the weekend, participants will be encouraged to take part in the sacraments and contemplative prayer, providing space to draw nearer to God.
The retreat will conclude Sunday, Dec. 8, with Mass and a final brunch at 11 a.m.
Attendees are invited to embrace this time of rest, quiet, and renewal as they listen to the inspiring guidance of the Marian Sisters and deepen their faith journey.
