The Lincoln Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (LDCCW) will host its annual two-day symposium for Women Jan. 10-11, offering an enriching opportunity for spiritual growth, education, and fellowship.

The event will take place at Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House in Waverly. The symposium aims to bring women of the diocese together to explore leadership, service, and spirituality through prayer, discussions, and personal reflection.

The symposium will begin Friday at 6 p.m., and the evening will conclude with a social gathering at 8:15 p.m.

Saturday will begin at 7:30 a.m., and will conclude around 3 p.m. with closing remarks from moderators Father Thomas Lux and Father Thomas McGuire, followed by a final prayer and blessing.

The LDCCW designed the event to offer an environment of spiritual growth, education, and service, with ample time for prayer, socialization, and individual reflection. Participants will have the opportunity to spend time with Jesus in the chapel, before the Blessed Sacrament. This symposium is an annual tradition for the LDCCW, emphasizing the importance of gathering as a community of faith and service. For those unable to attend in person, select sessions will be available via livestream.

The LDCCW, under the direction of the bishop, is dedicated to performing spiritual and corporal works of mercy, serving God and His Church through its ongoing efforts. This retreat serves as an important occasion to further the organization’s goals, while also allowing women to recharge and grow in their faith.
