Adelyn Zwick, a senior at Bishop Neumann Jr.-Sr. High in Wahoo, recently spoke to students and staff at St. Wenceslaus Elementary in Wahoo about how she’s grown in her Catholic faith and in her love of Jesus through her years at St. Wenceslaus and Bishop Neumann.
She reminded the students that they “are cool, but no one is too cool for God.” She stressed that growing in love for Jesus is so important.
To illustrate her remarks to the students, Zwick brought the Bible she received in the second grade, the Bible she uses now, a rosary, and her batting glove from her high school softball experiences. She wrote “All Glory to God” on the glove and said she knew, win or lose, that if she had done her best to glorify God, she had won with Him.
Zwick challenged the students to never give up and always strive to grow closer to God. She encouraged them to do so in practices like praying the rosary, reading Scripture, singing at Mass, and more.
St. Wenceslaus has a monthly “Adoration Club,” which all students and staff attend. Parents and others are invited to attend as well.
