The event begins at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 3, with the parish’s normally scheduled vigil Mass in the church, 1420 K St. in Lincoln. There will be a special blessing for all marathon runners at the Mass by pastor Father Joseph Walsh.

After Mass, a pasta dinner will be served on the Centennial mall, next to the church rectory. The meal will consist of salad, pasta with sauce, garlic bread and a small ice cream dessert. Serving begins at 5 p.m. and lasts until 7 p.m. Marathon runners eat for free, and free-will offerings will be accepted from others.

Local companies are sponsoring the event, including: Hy-Vee, Hiland Dairy, BNSF, and Buresh Meats.
