Bishop James Conley will celebrate an outdoor vigil Mass for the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Thursday, Aug. 14 at 7 p.m. at the belltower on the grounds of the Waverly Catholic Center.
The outdoor Mass, sponsored by Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House, invites the faithful to come together in reverence, prayer, and community to honor Mary’s Assumption into Heaven.
The grounds include Marycrest, the motherhouse of the Marian Sisters of the Diocese of Lincoln, and Villa Marie Home and School for Exceptional Children.
