“Lil Red and the Cowboy Who Sees the Light” is set in the Wild West. Characters Grannie and her Gang of Outlaws set out to spread the Goodie News, along with Lil Red and her pony Buckskin. Unfortunately, they encounter Meano the Mayor and the nasty Sheriff, who are both in need of a good conversion.

“The Good, The Bad, and The Fuzzy” is a humorous musical also set in the Wild West, where right is right, and wrong is wrong… until A. M. Biguous rides into the town of Nowhere, selling her book, “Grey Matters.” Suddenly, relativism is on the loose, turning the town inside out. Adding to the dilemma, the notorious Seven Deadly Vice Gang is planning a bank robbery.

Eventually, all is set right, when the Virtue Riders, along with Sheriff Dudely, save the day by capturing the outlaws and chasing A.M. Biguous out of town.

Students from across Lincoln will present the melodramatic musicals, written and directed by Lee Ann Hotovy. Megan Neal and Tatum Maley serve as musical directors and choreographers, along with adult volunteers and student crews.

S.T.A.G.E. – Student Theatre and Godly Evangelization – is now in its 25th season. The organization provides a unique theatrical experience with creative staging, costumes, dance and music. The melodramas are complete with boos, hisses, and hoorays, and attendees may even get to throw popcorn at the villains.

Reserved seating is available at stage4kids.com under “tickets.” Limited walk-in tickets will be available at the door.

“The Good, The Bad, and The Fuzzy” is a two-hour show with an intermission, while “Lil Red” is approximately 90 minutes in length. Both shows are recommended for children age 5 and up, due to seating limitations and the length of shows.
