Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House in Waverly will host “Unbound: Freedom in Christ,” a weekend retreat led by Father William Holoubek, Feb. 20–22.
The retreat is based on “Unbound: A Practical Guide to Deliverance” by Neal Lozano and is designed to help participants respond more fully to Jesus Christ’s invitation to abundant life through prayer, reflection, and spiritual healing.
The retreat will begin Friday, Feb. 20, with the rosary and Mass at 8 p.m., and conclude Sunday following noon lunch.
Unbound offers a pastoral and structured model for spiritual renewal, guiding participants through the “Five Keys”—repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, forgiveness of self and others, renunciation of lies and spiritual influences, taking authority over spiritual bondage and receiving the Father’s blessing. This approach helps individuals apply the grace, love and truth of the Gospel to their personal story and relationship with God.
Those attending in person will have the opportunity to receive an Unbound prayer session with trained members of the Diocese of Lincoln Unbound Ministry, offered in a respectful and confidential setting. Participants who wish to receive prayer are asked to prepare by reading the first nine chapters of the Unbound book or by viewing the corresponding video series.
A virtual option is also available for those unable to attend in person. Additional information about Unbound Ministry is available at lincolndiocese.org/unbound, and registration details can be found at goodcounselretreat.org or call 402-786-2705.
