Planning is well underway for the 2026 Nebraska Catholic Day of Giving. This year’s event will be held May 6, with the Advanced Giving period beginning April 20.

This is the third year for the fundraising drive that is a joint effort of the Archdiocese of Omaha, Diocese of Grand Island and Diocese of Lincoln. Last year’s campaign raised more than $1 million for Catholic organizations across the state.

Entities must register to participate in the Nebraska Catholic Day of Giving. Diocesan schools, parishes and ministries are eligible to participate. The deadline to register is April 6, but organizations are encouraged to register as soon as possible to take advantage of coaching emails, marketing resources and training webinars available to those that have signed up.

“We are using a new online platform, Mightycause, this year. It is the leading platform provider for Giving Days across the country,” said Dennis Kellogg, director of communications for the Catholic Diocese of Lincoln. “The transfer of information for most organizations that have participated before should be seamless, however some may be required to submit paperwork from the IRS verifying their non-profit status. So, I would encourage all organizations that want to participate to register now.”

To register, returning and new organizations need to go to nebraskacatholicdayofgiving.org, click on the “Register” button and follow the instructions. Anyone with questions can contact the Diocese of Lincoln Office of Communications at (402) 858-1175.
