Single young women ages 19 to 32 are invited to enter deeply into the Sacred Triduum at a Holy Week Retreat for Young Women, hosted by the Marian Sisters of the Diocese of Lincoln April 2-4.

The retreat will take place at Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House in Waverly, beginning on Holy Thursday at 6:15 p.m. and concluding on Holy Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

This retreat offers a prayerful conclusion to the Lenten season, inviting participants to walk with Christ through His Passion, Death and Resurrection. Through meditation, silence and communal prayer, retreatants are encouraged to encounter Christ’s deep and personal love and to ask the Lord to form their hearts after His own: firm and merciful, attentive and generous, open to God’s call.

Founded in 1954, the Marian Sisters follow a Franciscan Rule and live out their charism to “Do God’s will joyfully in imitation of Mary and Saint Francis.” The Sisters serve throughout the Diocese of Lincoln, teaching in Catholic schools and ministering at St. Gianna Women’s Homes, Villa Marie School, and diocesan offices.

The cost to attend is $30 per student or $40 per adult. All registration and questions are handled directly by the Marian Sisters. The retreat is in person only and does not offer a virtual option.
