Sacred Heart freshman, Lainey Ebel, was presented with the certificate for first place at the State Knights of Columbus Alcohol Poster Contest for her poster done as an 8th grade student. Lainey’s poster won at the local chapter level and then at both the regional and state level. Lainey’s poster is now International competition. The Knights of Columbus Substance Abuse Poster Contest is an annual event that is sponsored by the local Knights of Columbus Council #1336. The purpose of the contest is to promote local awareness for young people about the major social problems of drug and alcohol abuse as well as to generate ways for the Knights of Columbus to communicate its message about substance abuse issues.
